 The best prior auth is one that you never have to do. Some prior authorizations can be avoided if you simply attach the correct ICD-10 code to the script as an indication. Well, the doctors aren’t going to do that without understanding that there’s value down the line. That’s just another click in our mind unless I figure out that, oh, it actually is important for this patient and this medication because it can avoid a phone call or accelerate the prior auth process.
